Veeral S. Shah, MD, PhD, attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was awarded his medical degree in 2008. His internal medicine internship was served at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania (2008-2009), which was followed by his ophthalmology residency conducted at The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine/ the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Eye Center – Eye and Ear Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (2009-2012), where he was awarded the Keverline Service Award for Ophthalmology Excellence, the University of Pittsburgh Basic Science Research Award, and the AUPO Research Fellowship Award. Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida (2012-2013), where he was honored with the Bascom-Palmer Eye Institute Fellow of the Year Award.
